首台发动机测试 (FETT) 在荷兰赞丹的 VAN DER LEE Turbo Systems 工厂进行了评估。 这款 250 千瓦的涡轮压缩机是 Fluidic Propulsive System™（FPS™，流体推进系统）的核心部件，它是一款双轴发动机，采用自由涡轮，通过机械耦合的方式与两级轴流压缩机相连，旨在产生 FPS™ 所需的适当流量和压力比。 Jetoptera Inc. 首席执行官兼首席技术官 Andrei Evulet 博士表示：“在涡轮风扇模式下运行时，FETT 展现出了非常平稳的启动性能和良好的可操作性。 我们在此配置下对发动机压力、温度和产生的推力进行了监测。 接下来，我们进行了涡轮压缩机的性能测绘，并将其与 FPS™ 一起集成到 J-500 机身上。”
